In the era of the resources revolution, SUEZ delivers wastewater treatment services to 58 million people and reuses 882 million m3 of wastewater. The Group also recovers 16.9 million tons of waste a year and produces 3.9 million tons of secondary raw materials and 7 TWh of local renewable energy. In addition, SUEZ enables its customers to avoid 9.5 million tons of CO2 greenhouse gas emissions.

Why Cornerstone

The Group initially teamed up with Cornerstone for a pilot project involving some 19,000 employees and covering core HR functions (HR data management) and performance reviews.

SUEZ was impressed with the performance review completion rate and with the overall consistency and quality of the project management capabilities. These very positive outcomes prompted SUEZ to extend the program to the entire Group at the start of 2017. Given the success of the pilot phase, SUEZ decided to roll out the full Cornerstone Human Capital Management (HCM) platform.

Cornerstone’s unified database supports the gradual deployment of an integrated HCM platform as well as reliable, consolidated reporting across all parts of the Group. System integration was another key success factor for SUEZ. It wanted to be able to integrate the platform with local systems regardless of the data source to support the needs of its subsidiaries. In addition, SUEZ was looking for a flexible user experience that embraced a culture of learning to support change management. Cornerstone’s expert team, which provided functional and technical support throughout the entire project lifecycle, was another decisive factor for SUEZ choosing Cornerstone.
